We have all heard of six word memoirs. This clever way of adapting six simple words to describe our life has been a popular way to let people into the recesses of our life while saying very little. It reminds us that often saying little says so much.
So here is my six word memoir. I think our memoirs change over time, as we change and the circumstances of life change around us. This one seemed to fit for this season of my life. What is your six word memoir?
Life’s current detour is my path.
What a gorgeous path you are currently on. The blue sky contrasts with the foreground.

Yes-this is one of my favorite pictures taken on the road to our new home.

I enjoyed your introduction to the 6-word memoir, and it’s so true that these change overtime. The one you composed today is universal.

Absolutely. The detour is most often the path.

What a wonderful memoir. You say so much in those six little words. It is a great way of thinking about the detours we meet in life. Thank you for sharing.

That’s really creative. So much said in so little! Makes me think about what would be mine. Will share soon.

I think of this as my memoir,
Bruised, battered not broken; I walk.

Now *that* is an amazing 6 word memoir. It allows for inference, has a little mystery, applies to something bigger than the moment. I love this. Thanks for sharing it!

What a gorgeous photo! I love your six word memoir and agree that this changes over time. One of mine: Words pour in. Words pour out. Another: Nature speaks to me. I listen. Yours reminds me to celebrate life’s detours.

Annalee, the photo shares a wide-open, expansive road with plenty of sunshine. I can understand why this is your current 6-word memoir. Take to the highway for a fun ride!
