Sitting, waiting, wishing SOLC ‘22 (3/31)

It’s believed that Americans will spend 43 days of their lives on hold. They may also spend up to 5 years waiting in lines and queues. Wow.

We wait for a lot of things, right? Most things are worth the wait unless we are taking to the cable company. Most of the best things in life take time.

Although that may be true, let’s be honest. Who likes to wait? Nope. I’m as impatient as they come.

So what are you waiting for? Wishing for? Dreaming about? I’m dreaming to write a book one day. I just realized this one thing though. Waiting, dreaming and wishing aren’t going to get the job done. I have to put some practices into place as I wait. I have to work toward this lofty goal of mine.

So while I wait, I’ll work at this craft I’m trying to master. I’ll still dream and wish, but I’ll also work hard in the waiting.

Maybe today is the day you start working toward that dream while you wait. If I can do this, you can too.
